When students vacate a prestigious Vermont university for the winter holidays, the local community and faculty eagerly anticipate their beloved annual event: the Christmas Bar Trivia Tournament. For Celeste, a meticulous astronomy professor, this occasion blends the enchantment of Christmas with her passion for having the correct answers. However, when her teammate withdraws to embark on a month-long lecture tour in Asia, Celeste’s team is forced to include Max, the new offensive coordinator for the football team. Initially, Celeste views Max as nothing more than an overgrown class clown, despite his impressive knowledge of sports trivia—a category where her team has consistently struggled.
