“Takamine” is a biographical film that chronicles the life of Dr. Jokichi Takamine, a pioneering biochemist celebrated for his groundbreaking work in crystallizing and isolating adrenaline, also known as epinephrine. Often referred to as the father of modern biotechnology, Takamine also developed Takadiastase, a digestive enzyme that remains a component in various medications. Additionally, he was a strong advocate for fostering amicable ties between Japan and the United States, famously donating 3,000 cherry trees to Washington D.C.
