Ana Alvarez, a single mother from Nicaragua, resides in Northern Indiana with her teenage daughter, Izzy. Their lives take a drastic turn when a standard check-in results in Ana receiving a deportation notice. This upheaval comes at the worst possible moment, as Izzy has just been accepted to Indiana University.
