Gunnar and Sonja, once a couple blessed with wealth, love, and a lovely daughter, find their lives unraveling after the tragic loss of their child. Compounding their grief, Gunnar faces legal troubles, accused of illicit transactions for his company. The couple’s lives take another turn when they become guardians to Gunnar’s niece, Perla. They embark on a weekend trip to retrieve Perla, who is residing in a secluded home in the Icelandic countryside, where she tragically lost both her parents. Upon their arrival, Gunnar and Sonja begin to experience unsettling occurrences.
