Addiction: A 60’s Love Story

Based on real events, “Dynamite: A Cautionary Tale” centers on Max Bornstein, a devoted family man who, in 1968 New York City, led a double life as a habitual drug user involved in the clandestine and illegal pornography business. As he transported illicit materials to various locations and mob bases along the East Coast, Max found himself pursued by federal agents. Despite the looming federal investigation, Max’s greatest concern was his wife and two young children, who were unaware of his true circumstances as his world began to collapse. Struggling with his overpowering addiction, a disintegrating family, and increasing suspicion from his peers about his drug habits, Max watches powerlessly as his carefully constructed facade crumbles, leaving him to navigate the voids left behind.
