The Perfect Age of Rock ‘n’ Roll

In this film, childhood companions confront the temptations and challenges of rock and roll—such as desire, substance abuse, and fervor—during a cross-country journey that forces them to confront their past, present, and future. Rock musician Spyder, whose first album was a massive success, experienced a flop with his second release, prompting him to retreat to his small hometown and abandon his career. Seven years later, at 27, Spyder reconnects with Eric, his long-lost best friend and the writer of his debut album. Eric, the son of a legendary punk rock guitarist, has settled into a quiet life as a suburban middle school music teacher. Their reunion compels both to revisit their youthful dreams and reassess the decisions they’ve made.
