The Walk

Asil, a young Syrian refugee, is in Turkey waiting for her paperwork while dealing with the trauma of losing her family and home. Her narrative is embodied by a captivating giant puppet named Amal, symbolizing the millions of migrant and displaced children. Amal embarks on a journey from the Syrian border in Turkey across Europe, accompanied and brought to life by a team of puppeteers who are also refugees. Amal’s remarkable voyage is a tale of empathy and exploration.
