A Simple Curve

Caleb, a 27-year-old raised in the stunning Kootenay region by his free-spirited, nature-loving parents, deeply admires his father Jim. He appreciates Jim’s passion for woodworking and his fondness for coriander and soy products. However, Caleb struggles to comprehend Jim’s persistent knack for financial failure. As a perpetually unsuccessful entrepreneur, Jim’s decisions continually lead their carpentry business toward ruin, leaving Caleb, the junior partner, unable to prevent the financial missteps. When Matthew, an old acquaintance of Jim’s, arrives in the area with plans to build a luxury fishing lodge, Caleb sees a chance for prosperity—if only he can keep his father preoccupied. Yet, a minor deceit spirals into a major betrayal, forcing Caleb to confront the pivotal moment when he must assert himself and tell his father to step aside.
