Eva Braun draws its inspiration from real-life sex scandals within the Italian Parliament and the infamous “120 Days of Sodom” by Marquis De Sade. This combination crafts a grotesque exploration of power, sexuality, and the lengths individuals will go to achieve success. At the center is Pier, a significant and influential mogul who holds sway over his nation. With a refined, witty, and cultured demeanor, Pier harbors an unusual sexual appetite that is fulfilled by his mistress, Romy. She gathers a collection of individuals—men and women, including musicians, directors, writers, and businesspeople—who are willing to indulge Pier’s peculiar desires in exchange for his assistance in their pursuit of success. Much like in the Decameron, a group of people confined in a house confronts their own pride and lust for power and sexual gratification.
