The Devil Outside

Robert Eastwood, raised in a devout Born Again Christian environment, has been taught to seek out signs and to believe that evil lurks just beyond his doorstep. Upon attending school, he is taken aback to find that his peers do not share his belief that the world was created in seven days or that Jesus is set to return. Torn between his mother, who is fervently trying to spread Jesus’ love in a desolate mining town, and his best friend Marcus, who has introduced him to the world of teenage rebellion, Robert finds himself at the heart of a spiritual conflict as he attempts to break free from his religious upbringing. It is during this turmoil that he stumbles upon a dead body in the woods, interpreting it as a divine sign. “The Devil Outside” explores the theme of everyday madness.
