It has rained and stormed for two consecutive days and the guests are starting to get on each other’s nerves at the Seaside Hotel. Weyse has an argument with the theater about the cast for next year, and Amanda will be persuaded to take a trip to Skagen with Count Ditmar. Mrs. Andersen must cope with the operation of the hotel alone, now that Mr. Andersen is in the hospital after the accident with the electricity, and it is quite a challenge for Molly Andersen, who has never had anything to do with the finances.
