Transporter: The Series

Transporter: The Series

“Transporter: The Series” is an action-packed English-language TV show from France and Canada, inspired by the “Transporter” movies created by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. The series is a joint effort between French company Atlantique Productions and Canadian entertainment firm QVF Inc., with support from broadcasters M6, RTL, The Movie Network, Movie Central, and HBO/Cinemax.

The storyline extends the narrative of the film trilogy, focusing on Frank Martin, a skilled freelance courier who transports anything, anywhere, without asking questions, as long as the price is right. Despite having three “unbreakable” rules, he often finds himself bending them. Chris Vance steps into the role of Frank, originally played by Jason Statham, and is joined by Andrea Osvárt, who portrays a former CIA agent and Frank’s love interest, responsible for organizing his assignments. François Berléand returns from the films to reprise his role as Inspector Tarconi.

The series was commissioned for twelve episodes in 2012, with a total budget of $40 million, or €30 million. It debuted on October 11, 2012, in Germany on RTL, followed by a December 6 premiere in France on M6. The show made its Canadian debut on January 4, 2013, on HBO Canada and Super Écran 1, and began airing in India on January 25, 2013, on the Sony PIX channel.
