As the New Year begins, Krista embarks on a new business venture and resolves to be more discerning in her romantic life. She crosses paths with Ryan Rourke, an entertainment attorney from Los Angeles, and they quickly form a connection. Ryan is visiting her town to secure a contract with a local rancher who has become an internet singing sensation. With Krista also in Rust Creek, Ryan finds additional motivation to stay. However, both must confront their pasts and make important choices if they wish to pursue a future together.
