Ashrita Furman is recognized for having the highest number of Guinness World Records held by a single person, with feats such as “Largest Hula Hoop,” “Most Apples Sliced in Mid-Air with a Samurai Sword,” and “Longest Distance Bicycling Underwater.” As a health food store proprietor and meditation enthusiast, Furman journeys globally to invent new record-breaking categories. In The Record Breaker, we are introduced to Furman, a uniquely motivated individual, along with his cheerful group of friends (including Champ the dog), as he prepares to ascend Machu Picchu on stilts.
